Position Summary
The Infusion Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office. You will support medical staff and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.Schedule - Wednesdays: 8:00 AM -4:30 PM
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:- Assists nurses with obtaining patient orders, office visit notes, and labs from outside provider offices
- Act as point of contact for stake holders
- Interview patients for case histories prior to appointments
- Update and maintain patients’ health records
- Assist patients with initial paperwork
- Schedule and coordinate appointments
- Process insurance claims in compliance with law requirements
- Use medical software to support all transactions
- Manage receivable and payable accounts and maintain financial records
- Answer patients’ queries and ensure quality customer service
- Collaborate with doctors and nurses to help with schedule tests and order supplies
- Ensure compliance with procedure
- Keep up to date with changes in medical and insurance legislation
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience and/or training in similar medical practice/field
- High school diploma: certification in medical administration is a plus
- Experience accessing Electronic Medical Records
- Inventory Management
- Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

- Sitting and standing for hours at a time. Some bending and stooping may be required
- Manual dexterity to perform clinical duties as assigned
- Regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate
